Influential Music Videos

For influences for our own music video we looked mainly at the original artists music videos which are Delilah and Wretch 32. However we also look at Alicia Keys as she plays the piano most of the time in her music videos.

Delilah - Go
This video has many influences for our own, such as the setting in the ally way and given us ideas for what kind of outfit our artist would wear. It has also given us the idea to do our music video at night. It has also influenced us on what kind of shot types we plan to use, such as close up to show the artist as well as long shots to allow the audience to see the artist in full. So they can see what they are wearing.

Wretch 32 - Don't Go
We looked at one of a well known song of Wretch 32, to see what made it so great other than the song itself. The video includes street art, which has been used effectively. For example the painting of the umbrella as the person inside the music video looks as if she is holding it. We considered to used some street art however it did not stick to our urban theme so therefore chose not to use it. In this music video there are many close up of the artist also that the editing is cut at every beat, so we know that we don't have to change every shot at every beat.

Alicia Keys - No one
Traditionally Alica Keys has always got some kind of piano of keyboard in her music video as she plays it and ironically in her name. We look at her as in our song you can hear the piano being played. So we looked at the different types of shots we can use when our artist plays the piano.
